Important Update: Changes to US Shipping Starting August 28, 2025

Starting August 28, 2025, the de minimis rule for shipments to the United States will be abolished. This means that all shipments to the US, regardless of their value, will now be subject to customs clearance and may incur duties and fees. This change applies only to shipments destined for the United States.

What’s Changing for US Orders?

The de minimis rule previously allowed most shipments valued under $800 to enter the United States duty-free. With this rule repealed, please be aware of the following changes:

• Customs Duties: All orders may be subject to customs duties. We estimate these could be up to 15% of your total order value, including shipping fees.
• Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF): In addition to duties, you may be charged an MPF ranging from $2.10 to $9.00.
• Longer Delivery Times: The increased complexity of customs procedures may cause delays. We appreciate your patience as we adapt to this new process.

What You Need to Do

To ensure a smooth delivery process, please take the following steps when placing your order:

• Pay Customs Duties and Fees: Be prepared to pay any customs duties, taxes, and handling fees directly to the shipping carrier upon delivery or before the package is released.
• Provide Accurate Contact Information: Include a valid phone number and email address where the shipping carrier can easily reach you. Delays may occur if the carrier is unable to contact you regarding payment.
• Understand Your Financial Responsibility: If you refuse to pay customs duties and decline the package, you will be responsible for the following costs:
  • The original, non-refundable shipping fee from Japan.
  • The return shipping fee back to Japan.
